How can I order an urn?

When you have picked out an urn or urns you are interested in, please email the artist:  janet@janetlohrceramics.com and you can place an order.

Determining the appropriate size urn:

In general, 1 cubic inch per pound of living body weight will give ample space.  Please read the urn description carefully to determine whether it will be the right size.  Urns that have had cremains (ashes) inside cannot be returned.

How long will it take to fill my order?

When we receive your order for an urn that is currently in stock, it will be shipped within two weeks.

If you are interested in an urn that has already been sold, in some cases a similar one can be custom made. All urns are handmade, unique artworks; therefore a custom urn will be somewhat different from the original.

Custom orders:

Certain urn styles—not all—can be custom made to include a name or inscription.  It is also possible to incorporate a small quantity of cremains into the clay itself.  In general, custom work considerably increases the price of the urn, and it will take more time to fill the order.  Contact us to discuss details.

Return policy:

If you are not completely satisfied with your urn, please contact us immediately. Urns must be returned within 14 days of delivery to receive a refund. Items that CANNOT be returned are: custom made urns, urns that have had cremains inside, and urns that have been damaged by the customer. We will pay the return shipping cost if the return is the result of our error.

Shipping:

Urns will be very carefully packed and sent U.S. Parcel Post ground, insured.  If you want expedited shipping, this can be arranged for an additional fee, determined by the size and weight of the urn.  Please contact us for more details.
