This is a very fine small memorial urn in soft blues and pinks, which will hold approximately 7 tablespoonfuls of cremains.

This series of small memorial urns (reliquaries) answers the need for a very special container for keeping a small quantity of ash.  It could also hold a special keepsake such as jewelry or a watch.

The inscription on this memorial urn reads “In Loving Memory.” It is made of fine white porcelain, carved and colored with many soft layers of underglazes, each layer applied and allowed to dry before another was added, a process of many hours.   It was bisque fired, glazed and fired again; then more tints were added in enamel, and it was fired a third time. These little urns have a contemplative quality that comes out of their slow and careful creation.
